International Student Exchange Kampus Berdampak
The International Student Exchange Program is a four-month academic mobility initiative jointly organized by Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi (UNPAB), Indonesia and Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK), Malaysia. The program aims to provide students with an international learning experience by combining academic excellence, intercultural exchange, leadership development, and global networking in a dynamic multicultural environment.Designed to support the internationalization strategies of both institutions, the program enables students to study abroad for one semester while earning academic credits that may be transferred to their home university, subject to institutional regulations. Participants will experience a different educational system, collaborate with international peers, and develop competencies essential for success in the global workforce.Beyond classroom learning, the program encourages students to engage in cultural immersion activities, community engagement projects, industry visits, and professional networking opportunities. These experiences foster intercultural understanding, adaptability, communication skills, and global citizenship while strengthening academic collaboration between Indonesia and Malaysia.The International Student Exchange Program reflects the shared commitment of UNPAB and UNIRAZAK to developing graduates who are academically competent, culturally aware, socially responsible, and globally competitive.Program ObjectivesThe program aims to: Provide students with international academic exposure through semester-long study abroad experiences. Promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. Enhance students' academic, professional, and leadership competencies. Foster international collaboration among students, lecturers, and partner institutions. Develop global perspectives and intercultural communication skills. Support the internationalization agenda of UNPAB and UNIRAZAK. Program DurationDuration: 4 Months (One Semester)Program Components1. Academic MobilityStudents will enroll in academic courses offered by UNIRAZAK and participate in lectures, tutorials, assignments, presentations, and examinations alongside local and international students.2. Credit TransferAcademic credits earned during the mobility program may be recognized by UNPAB through the institutional credit transfer mechanism, subject to curriculum compatibility and university regulations.3. Cultural ImmersionParticipants will join cultural exchange activities, heritage visits, festivals, and community-based programs to gain a deeper understanding of Malaysian culture while promoting Indonesian culture internationally.4. Leadership & Student DevelopmentStudents are encouraged to participate in leadership training, student organizations, seminars, workshops, and international networking activities that strengthen personal and professional development.5. Community EngagementThe program includes volunteer activities, social responsibility projects, and collaborative initiatives with local communities to encourage civic engagement and intercultural collaboration.6. Industry ExposureParticipants will have opportunities to visit industries, government agencies, or partner organizations to gain practical insights into Malaysia's professional environment.

GLOPB 2026: Bridging Culture and Nature East Sumatera
Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi (UNPAB) Medan, one of the oldest and leading universities in North Sumatra, proudly presents the GLOPB (Global Engagement Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi Program). With the theme “Bridging Culture and Nature East Sumatera: Mangrove Conservation through Melayu Local Wisdom,” this program introduces participants to the ecological importance of mangrove ecosystems while exploring the traditional Melayu values that guide coastal communities in preserving nature.
