Global Adjunct Professor 2026

The Adjunct Professor Program 2026 is an international academic initiative organized by Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi (UNPAB), Medan, Indonesia, to strengthen global academic collaboration, enhance research excellence, and promote internationalization in higher education.The program invites distinguished professors from reputable international universities to serve as Adjunct Professors at UNPAB through teaching, mentorship, collaborative research, and academic knowledge exchange. Participants are expected to contribute their expertise in supporting the development of academic quality, international publications, curriculum enrichment, and sustainable institutional partnerships.The appointment period is 1.5 (one and a half) years, during which Adjunct Professors will engage in structured academic activities, including annual residency, collaborative research, mentoring, and guest lectures.ACADEMIC SCOPEThe program welcomes professors from the following disciplines: Law  Economics  Engineering  Islamic Education  Computer Science Applicants from related interdisciplinary fields are also encouraged to apply if their expertise aligns with UNPAB's academic priorities.KEY RESPONSIBILITYAdjunct Professors are expected to actively contribute throughout the appointment period by undertaking the following responsibilities:TeachingDeliver guest lectures, participate in academic discussions, and enrich the learning experience of UNPAB students through international perspectives and best practices.MentorshipProvide academic mentoring for lecturers, researchers, and postgraduate students, including research supervision, proposal development, and publication guidance.Research CollaborationDevelop collaborative research projects with UNPAB academic staff and produce high-quality scholarly publications in internationally recognized journals, preferably Scopus-indexed journals with SJR ≥ 0.4.Academic NetworkingPromote long-term international collaboration through joint research, academic exchanges, seminars, conferences, and institutional partnerships.ResidencyComplete an annual one-month residency at Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi consisting of:Two weeks during the odd semester, focusing on mentorship and collaborative research. Two weeks during the even semester, focusing on mentorship and teaching activities.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAApplicants should meet the following qualifications: Hold the academic rank of Professor from a reputable international university.  Hold a permanent academic appointment at a recognized foreign higher education institution.  Demonstrate an active international research profile.  Have published at least five Scopus-indexed publications within the last five years.  Possess a Scopus H-index of at least 5.BENEFITSSelected Adjunct Professors will receive: Honorarium of IDR 50,000,000 per contract.  Two round-trip economy-class airfares and accommodation provided by UNPAB.  Full access to UNPAB's academic, research, and laboratory facilities.  Opportunities for collaborative research and international publications.  Support for expanding international academic networks and institutional partnerships.

During the residency, Adjunct Professors will mentor faculty members, deliver guest lectures, engage with undergraduate and postgraduate students, and collaborate on high-quality international research projects.As part of UNPAB's commitment to becoming a globally recognized university, the program promotes interdisciplinary collaboration across various fields including Law, Management, Accounting, Economics, Agriculture, Engineering, Computer Science, and Islamic Education.Participants are expected to establish sustainable academic partnerships that continue beyond the residency period through joint publications, collaborative research grants, curriculum development, student supervision, and future academic exchange programs.Program ObjectivesThe Adjunct Professor Program aims to: Enhance the quality of teaching and learning through international academic engagement.  Strengthen research collaboration between UNPAB and overseas universities.  Improve the international publication performance of UNPAB lecturers.  Provide mentoring for early-career researchers and academic staff.  Develop sustainable institutional partnerships through joint academic activities.  Support UNPAB's internationalization strategy and global ranking initiatives.
